Focus Folding

Focus Folding emerged from a couple combining their interests; starting from two small origami cubes that Jesse gifted Rowan, so she could turn them into earrings for herself. The breakout of Covid-19, the first lock down in Canberra and the loss of a job, inspired the couple to decide to start a business of making and selling origami jewellery. After months of planning and preparation, Focus Folding opened on the 10th July 2020.

The handmade origami jewellery from Focus Folding is becoming increasingly popular, especially around the nation’s capital, Canberra. You may have seen them around the local markets they frequent, including The Old Bus Depot Markets, The Little Burley Markets, and The Haig Park Village Markets. The Focus Folding team prides themselves in their professionalism, polished display and quality products. These attributes allow them to stand out among other vendors.

CIVIC Centre

In November 2022, Focus Folding was invited to participate as a stall holder at the Civic Center. Recognizing the need to elevate our display to Civic Center standards, we explored their style guide and devised an ingenious concept. We crafted eight mirror displays that complemented our earrings and improving color selection for customers.

Our unique approach, using mirrors as the display base, created visual depth and enhanced lighting, resulting in widespread praise from customers, management, and organizers. As a testament to our innovative display, we’ve earned a spot on the Canberra Centres organizers’ inspiration board, motivating other stall holders to take bold, creative strides in their presentations.
